Our co-founder Cary was so sick he couldn't keep anything down — no water, no gels, no powders. The doctor told him to get electrolytes into him. His body wouldn't let him.

Looking for anything that might help, Cary stumbled on a thread about chewing gum easing nausea. That's when it clicked: the electrolytes need to be in the gum.

He called Konnor — his co-founder and a health science major — the same day. They brought the idea to a chemist at their university and built a formula that absorbs through the oral mucosa, working faster than any drink on the market.
